Shitta Roundabout Park, Surulere, Lagos

From National Stadium, the exit into Surulere and going under the first ramp is Shitta round about. At the round about the there are other exits that leads to Akerele, Adeniran Adesanya, Alhaji Masha road and a host of adjoining areas all in Surulere area of Lagos. Shitta round about for several reasons including the vibe it receive from the two major stadia- the national stadium and Teslim Balogun stadium.

This supposed amusement park at Shitta round about isn’t serving such purpose. To the best of my knowledge it’s only a beautification of the round about, no recreational activity of any such happens there. Aside the flowers, the garden is surrounded by recurrent potholes despite several attempts at its repairs. The drainage system in the vicinity seems poor as it gets water lodged at the littlest of rainfall.

A nice roundabout that leads you to the National Stadium, famous Adeniran Ogunsanya street with “many clubs, banks and malls”., Alhaji Masha roundabout, and Akerele Street.
